Chromite

Chromite belongs to the spinel group of oxide minerals and has a chemical composition of FeCr204, as it is an iron chromium oxide.

Chromite is the main source of the metal chromium, a metal used to induce hardness, toughness and chemical resistance in steel. It is mainly used in electroplating, tanning, printing, and dyeing, medicine, fuel, catalysts, oxidants, matches, and metal corrosion inhibitors. At the same time, metallic chromium has become one of the most important electroplated metals.

We have various mining area leases for chromite. Our mining production can be classified into two grades:

  • Metallurgical Grade
  • Refractory Grade

Our grades range from Cr2O3 content 26% to 54%.

We also produce refractory grade chrome ore with CR2O3 content 52%/50% basis with a maximum SiO2 of 3.5%.
